Pickensville
For more information on retiring in Pickensville please contact Debbie Fason Pickensville is a small town that is located in Pickens County about two and a half miles from the Mississippi State line. The Tennessee Tombigbee river is the center of our little town as far as excitement goes. We have the Pickensville Campground that has a boat ramp and a hundred and seventy two camp sites, that is just a short drive by car or across the river by boat from the Pickensville Recreation Park that has a swim beach, picnic area, and boat ramp. We have the Tom Bevill Visitor's Center (pictured above) that has some very interesting information about a lot of different things. While at the visitor's center you may want to visit the Tom Bevill Lock and Dam or the snagboat 'Montgomery". There is not much to do here in Pickensville, if you don't like to camp, fish, or hunt, because that is all we really have to offer, you. But, if you just want to get away from it all, then here is the place you need to be, because rest, peace and quiet comes really easy in a place like this.
