Wedowee

The lifestyle in Wedowee is truly small town. Wedowee is close enough to all modern amenities and conveniences, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city life for a simpler lifestyle.

Wedowee is located in the center of a triangle with the points being Atlanta, Birmingham and Montgomery.  Lake Wedowee, also known as Harris lake was built by the Alabama Power Company approximately 24 years ago.  Many beautiful homes have been constructed in newly built lakefront subdivisions in the Wedowee area.

Lake Wedowee is situated  between Anniston and Auburn on U.S. 431.  Both cities offer world class golf on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.  Wedowee is less than 90 minutes from Atlanta and Birmingham where you can enjoy theatres, shopping malls, fine dining,  professional sporting events,  or catch a flight to anywhere in the world.   For NASCAR fans, the Talladega Super Speedway is less than one hour away
