COMMUNITY LINKS City of Cullman Economic Development Agency Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce Wallace State Community College Cullman County Economic Development Office Cullman is centrally located in the heart of Alabama on interstate 65, just 45 minutes north of Birmingham, 40 Minutes south of Huntsville, and only 5 hours from Gulf Shores, Alabama. German immigrant, Col. John G. Cullman, originally founded the area in 1873 and laid out the wide city streets and developed the community along the lifeline of the railway. Cullman is a proud member of the Tree City USA program and is a thriving community of more than 20,000 people. Sam Walton chose Cullman as the site for one of his many Wal-Mart Distribution Centers and Mother Angelica of the Eternal Word Television Network selected a place in Cullman County as the home for her Shrine and monastery, Our Lady of the Angels. Cullman is also home of the Cullman Snowbird Club. The Chamber of Commerce invites you to look into Cullman to see where you could be calling home.
